The news that Guo Liang Chen was able to win the 2017 World Poker Tour Borgata Poker Open was all over the poker news channels. This was the largest score that Chen had ever made in his life and he admitted that after the win he was too excited to sleep at night. The final day of the event saw him at the fifth position with the amount of chips he was holding. There were a total of six players who remained at the final table. The only player who had fewer chips than Chen was Cliff Josephy who had been two times winner of the WSOP bracelet. Chen was able to double up his holdings to overtake the player in the lead. He kept up the pressure till Weber was in a disadvantageous position due to the short stack of chips he had which led to Chen’s victory finally.
